Colleagues:

First of all, thanks again to Jessica for her previous leadership as INES Chair, as well as her willingness to step into the Editor role with Engineering Studies. I am happy to be taking over as INES Chair for 2023 - please let me know if you have inputs or ideas for how we can continue to nurture and grow our community.

Additionally, and as some of you are aware, we are hosting the IEEE ETHICS-2023 meeting at Purdue this year, May 18-20 (https://attend.ieee.org/ethics-2023/). If you are interested in attending, note that INES members are eligible to receive the discounted registration rate ($300 before 3/20, $325 after 3/20)

I have also had a series of exploratory conversations with folks about hosting an INES workshop in tandem with the conference, which we have tentatively scheduled for the afternoon of Saturday, May 20. I am open to the idea of a hybrid event with options for face-to-face and online/Zoom participation. However, I can't do this alone - and am looking for volunteers who can help plan and run the workshop. Please reply off list if you are willing to join a small organizing team, and I will in turn organize a follow-up meeting/call.

Best,
Brent

P.S. If you've not yet renewed your INES membership for 2023, please consider doing so by visiting our join/renew page (https://inesweb.org/join). We greatly appreciate your support!
